The GRAF Industries’ adventure, recounted by Giampaolo Ferranti, GRAF Group partner and CFO and narrated by Giampaolo Colletti for #FAREinsieme “Stories of companies, people, communities” by Confindustria Emilia Area Centro, is finally on-line! A story made of lots of stories, over 40 years of courage and intuition in the future.
“FARE Insieme” is the storytelling project created by Confindustria Emilia Area Centro and curated by Giampaolo Colletti, a journalist specialising in innovation and company storytelling. The project was created to highlight the local area’s business excellence, by recounting the characteristic and special relationship in Emilia Romagna between managing a business and managing a community.
In the interview, Giampaolo Ferranti enthusiastically talked about the early days, being forced to abandon dreams and the lack of resources. He then talked about intuition, innovation and courageous choices, which were always geared towards helping the local area and his community grow.
The story of the Graf Group’s adventure is a whistle-stop tour through exciting, challenging and promising years. One that began in a garage in the late 1970s with a small electrical installations and industrial automation business, and culminated in today’s multi-business industry operating in areas of technology linked to the exploitation of sustainable energy sources, in research and development with certification by the Ministry of Education, University and Research, in the manufacture of cutting-edge CNC machines for the production of top-quality PVC windows and doors, in electrical installations, electronics and software development for various applications.
Colletti ends his tour through the history of the GRAF Group with a statement that demonstrates the company’s staying power and innovation: “Staying ahead of the curve: what an amazing skill!”.
